Have you come across Pinterest yet? It is brilliant for planning your wedding. Users “pin” images on virtual bulletin boards and there are now 49 million users after 3 years. Its wedding boards with a variety of wedding dresses, ideas and styles are hugely popular.

Start by having a look at our Pinterest boards at http://pinterest.com/copplestones/ as this will give you an idea of what you can do. Then simply sign up for your own Pinterest site and create your own mood boards and starting pinning from our site and other wedding sites! You can then let your friends know about the boards and they can see how your plans and ideas progress.

Pinterest is an invaluable tool for brides as it’s a great way to communicate – here are some tips:

  • Pin

A pin starts with an image, for example a wedding dress you like, which you add to Pinterest. You can add a pin from other Pinterest sites, websites using the Pin It bookmarklet or upload an image right from your computer. Any pin on Pinterest can be repinned.

  • Board

A board is where you organize your pins by topic, for example Wedding Dress, Wedding Venue, Wedding Ideas, Wedding Flowers, Wedding Cake. You can pin ideas for your various boards which can be secret or public, and you can invite other people to pin with you, for example photos of wedding dresses they like.

  • Follow

When you follow someone, their pins show up in your Pinterest home feed. You can follow all of someone’s boards or just the ones you like best and there a huge range of wedding themed boards, which have great ideas which you add to yours.
